We offer three different options for accommodation that you can choose from, depending on your preferences and interests:

Students in Spark

Our residential area is on the second floor of the Spark Academy complex (a renovated hostal) and this is the recommended accommodation option if you want to further enhance your Spanish skills, feel part of and socialize with the other course members and at the same time have your own independence. There are 13 rooms (for 1 – 2 people), nearly all of them en suite. Sparkville has communal kitchen and dinning area which acts as a great social gathering point that adds to the unique Sparkville atmosphere. There are also numerous chill out / social areas, such as the plaza de la americas (a little “outdoor” space, with tv and a glass roof to protect you from rain or sun) and a big roof terrace which is ideal for barbeques, sunbathing and evening drinks, which facilitate interaction with other students and staff.

The residence has minimum 1, usually there are 2 or 3, social events coordinators, who lives in the same facilities and who can help you with any problems you may have. The social events coordinator also runs many of the social events such as mini excursions, tapas nights, salsa nights or general social gatherings on site. The social coordinator is also responsible for encouraging you to speak as much Spanish in the residence as possible, to stimulate your oral practice of the language.

The residence is located just outside the centre of el Puerto and is close to various amenities such as shops, banks, the beach and the bull ring, not mention the historic centre of El Puerto.

Homestay

For this programme we will find you a host family that you can stay with for the duration of your Spanish course. This involves having your own room but usually sharing bathroom facilities. This is obviously the best way to make sure you practice your newly acquired language skills as much as possible as these families usually don’t speak English, or if they do they have been notified that one of their goals is to always speak in Spanish with you.

Appartment

If you opt to stay in a flat on your own, with a friend or a partner, we can aid you in your search for a suitable flat. Depending on your requirements and interests this could be anything from a studio in the centre to a small rented house outside the centre.
